Thank you to the City of Pleasanton recognizing May as Lupus Awareness Month! I feel honored to accept the award and raise awareness. The mayor's mother had Lupus and a former assistant there. They of course said I don't look like I have anything wrong. And that's why I advocate. Unbeknownst to them, I need a kidney as my function now has dropped to 9%, my entire body hurts, carrying 10lbs of water weight, and a migraine.
